The IBDC network is well placed to provide a support resource to Nomads that need to satisfy their obligations under the recently published rules with regard to companies in countries where the Nomad does not have a local office. The support services available from the IBDC network both pre- and post-IPO are, inter alia, as follows:
- Assisting in assessing the appropriateness of an applicant for AIM from a foreign jurisdiction through the local “old boy network”.
- Interfacing between the Nomad and the local AIM company to guide and monitor the AIM company with regard to its responsibilities under the AIM rules for companies both in respect of its admission and continuing obligations.
- Attending on the local AIM company where required to satisfy the Nomad that the information provided is correct, complete, and not misleading.
- Interfacing between the Nomad and the local AIM company to ensure that the information requested is fully understood (misunderstandings can often arise due to lack of understanding of nuances in language).
